This table is an illustrated reference aid for devotees of STP photography. It lays out a starter set of verified visual markers for nearly all tour shows, data that can help collectors establish or narrow down the provenance of 1972 concert imagery. More so than the companion collectible audio documentation, the published and unpublished photographic take from the 1972 tour tends to be unidentified or misidentified by venue, and no systematic visual analysis of the 51 performances has yet surfaced. So, at this early stage in the project, here's hoping that you'll find some simple Jagger, Richards, Taylor, and Watts benchmarks below to finally pin down that prized poster on your wall, that uncredited shot in some book or magazine, that beautiful CD liner, or that rare concert snapshot peddled on eBay or at a record show. Additional, advanced markers will appear later, along with a few revisionist looks at familiar in-concert shots and their attributions.

      The data below emerges in large part from my earlier (and still ongoing) work harvesting and analyzing press coverage of the 1972 tour. Supplementary verifications come from private collections of STP photography. Some authenticated, venue-matched image scans are provided as visual references for your own identification work.
